Coaching Team

Sean brady

Coach Sean grew up in Connecticut and fell in love with ultimate at the University of Notre Dame. He has 10+ years of frisbee player and captain experience and has played league and club in Austin since 2018. He is currently playing mixed (co-ed) with Austin Disco Club with whom he is hoping to attend club nationals for the first time this fall. He’s excited to work with the Maroons this year!

Jeb Berry

Coach Jeb is from Rock Hill South Carolina where he started playing ultimate in high school. He fell in love with the sport at Clemson University, playing for the college team for four years. Since then, he has played for many club ultimate teams in both the Open and Mixed divisions. During his time in Austin, Jeb helped coach Texas Tango, the girls and nonbinary YCC team, to a winning record at the youth club championships tournament. In addition to ultimate, Jeb loves cooking, snowboarding, and spending time with his dog and two cats.

Noteworthy Highlights

The Austin High Ultimate Team made waves at the 2024 State Championship Tournament, making it to the playoffs with a 3 game win streak. Competing for a spot in the finals against the reigning 3-time State champ LASA A team, Austin High brought them to Universe Point. The score was 9-9, with only a minute left on the clock when LASA scored the final point securing the win. Austin High ended the State Tournament with a 4-1 record, placing 3rd.

February of the 2023 season was our inaugural and highly successful Girls and Non-Binary Ultimate practice at Austin High! We had several new players come out for the first time and received one-on-one training from several pro players from Austin Torch, the Austin WNB semi-pro team, from Texas Melee, the University of Texas WNB team, as well as Colleen Kepner of TUSC365, and Liz Carbajal of Austin Ultimate.
